Drop Ship Access Catalog API Documentation

Our API is a way for you to integrate our product catalog directly onto your website without the need to import data feeds. The advantage is that your website will always be current with the latest pricing and availability and any price markup adjustments you make will take effect immediately. You will need to have the ability to modify your website’s programming to make this work.

The catalog API has 3 parts to it: listing categories, listing products, and product details.

You will make 2 calls to our API for each page. One call to display the categories and one call to display the products in the category selected.

The output is JSON encoded, so after you decode it, the results are returned in multidimensional array.

Get an API access token

1. Create a Drop Ship Access account by going to www.dropshipaccess.com and filling out the form on the page. When you get to the payment page you can stop.

2. Send us an email and we will discuss your needs and set up payment arrangements.

3. We will activate your account and assign you an API token.

Configure product settings

1.Go to http://www.dropshipaccess.com/account_feed_settings.php

2. Configure your price markups and filters. Do not choose a format (it is only used for downloading files)

Listing Categories

Request URL: http://www.dropshipaccess.com/api/cats.php?key=XXXXXXXXXXXX&catid=0

Details: Replace the XXXXXXXXXX with your API token and the catid will be the selected category with 0 being the root.

Details: The cpath will contain the category path to the current category listing (breadcrumbs). In this example it’s empty because we the request was for catid=0 which is the root category. The list will contain key:value pairs for the subcategories of the catid requested.

If a visitor clicked on the Books category then you would make a call with the 267 as the catid to list the subcategories of Books.

Listing Products

Request URL: http://www.dropshipaccess.com/api/items.php?key=XXXXXXXXXXXX&catid=625&start=0&count=100

Details: Replace the XXXXXXXXXX with your API token and the catid will be the selected category with 0 being the root. Start and count are used to control paging and the number of results you want per page.
